Abstract
- An abstract presented at the 2020 European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) suggests that, in future, we might be able to monitor longer term exposure to glucose through our tears. The study measured glycated albumin (GA) in lacrimal fluid and found this to be strongly correlated to glycated albumin in blood, an indicator of glycaemia over a 2 week period.
