Abstract: The electrical phase shift between the current and the applied voltage in a series-resonant circuit as the resonant-circuit tuning is varied is used as the basis of operation for resonant electrical control systems. The author discusses application of such systems to aircraft and industrial problems, and to single and multiphase radio control.
