Abstract
- Pseudorthocladius togakileus (Sasa et Okazawa, 1992) (Fig. 5) Parakiefferiella togakileus Sasa et Okazawa, 1992: 150. Bryophaenocladius toganitemus Sasa et Okazawa, 1992: 134, syn. n. Bryophaenocladius togafelix Sasa et Okazawa, 1992: 134. syn. n. Pseudorthocladius togakileus: Yamamoto (2000: 386); Yamamoto (2004: 84); Yamamoto & Yamamoto (2014). Specimens examined: Japan: Toyama Pref., Toga Village: holotype &male; of Parakiefferiella togakilea, 31. v. 1990, T. Okazawa & M. Sasa [specimen No. 182:74 (NSMT-I-Dip 4717)]; holotype &male; of Bryophaenocladius toganitemus, as previous [specimen No. 180:63 (NSMT-I-Dip 4 703)]; holotype &male; of Bryophaenocladius togafelix, as previous [specimen No. 180:64 (NSMT-I-Dip 4704)]. All the holotypes examined have the last antennal flagellomere bearing several long sensilla basiconica instead of the terminal seta. Although the male ascribed to Bryophaenocladius togafelix has two setae on the squama, we conclude that all the type specimens examined are conspecific based on many characters including hypopygia.<br />Published as part of Yamamoto, Nao & Yamamoto, Masaru, 2018, Taxonomic information on some Japanese Chironomidae (Diptera) described by Dr. M.
