Abstract

The NanoPAT PEDR provides guidance to all project partners on the required communication and dissemination as well as on the exploitation activities. This ensures a unified project communication, dissemination and exploitation process across the entire Consortium. The aim of the PEDR is to ensure that all knowledge generated during the course of the project will be successfully communicated, disseminated, and transferred to appropriate target groups, identified stakeholders, and the wider public. The present deliverable is the first version of communication, dissemination and exploitation plan of the NanoPAT project and provides guidance to all project partners on the required communication and dissemination as well as on the exploitation activities. It sets the basis for both external and internal communication, dissemination activities and a first approach to the exploitation of results. The overall aim of the PEDR is to identify the most efficient means and set a plan for the implementation of communication, dissemination and exploitation activities, ensuring that all knowledge generated during the course of the project will be successfully communicated, disseminated, and transferred to appropriate target groups, identified stakeholders, and the wider public and increasing the impact after the end of the project. This deliverable is structured from the general to the specific, resulting in a detailed plan of action, with the caveat that this plan was formulated at the start of the project and may change as the project progresses. After a short introduction on the project background and objectives, the strategy begins by defining the project communication and dissemination objectives. After that, the materials that need to be communicated or disseminated (via dissemination tools) are presented. Additionally, the target audiences for the communication and dissemination activities (i.e. stakeholders), the means by which to reach each audience, as well as the indicators that will be monitored to measure the project performance in communication and dissemination (KPIs) are described. Finally, an approach to the exploitation of results is given. The exploitation part begins with an overview of the market whilst then narrowing the focus to global nanometrology. The market analysis is followed by the External Environment Analysis containing the SWOT and PEST analysis for NanoPAT. In the IPR and Knowledge Management section the preliminary results of the IPR analysis are shown containing also the updated foreground and background of partners. The Standardisation section rounds up and summarises the standardisation activities undertaken in NanoPAT. This document supports efforts to meet all obligations agreed within the Grant Agreement, explicitly in Articles 28, 29 and 38. This document will serve as a “living document” throughout the project, guiding the communication and dissemination effort carried out by the consortium. The PEDR will regularly be updated, at least aligned with the periodic reports (M36) or when any substantial change may occur. At the end of the project, a final version will be presented in deliverable D7.6 “Final Plan for the Exploitation and Dissemination of Results”, together with the results of each dissemination activity, reporting also future-oriented dissemination and exploitation activities foreseen by each partner after the end of the project.
