Abstract
- Musculoskeletal injuries are often presented in primary care, and general practice nurses should be aware of the best practice guidelines on accurate patient assessment, say Jonathan Thomas and Ann Paynter, which is as important as knowing when to refer The aim of this article is to discuss the assessment and management of patients that present to primary care with minor musculoskeletal injuries. Accurate patient assessment is essential and this article will explore important aspects to consider within the assessment as well as when to refer the patient.
