Abstract

Syphacia evaginata Hugot & Quentin 1985 Site of infection. caecum Collection number. MLP-He7343 Host species. Euryoryzomys russatus. CG553 Localities. CAMB, RVSU and PPU Comments. The morphological characters observed in the specimens agree with the original description given by Hugot & Quentin (1985), i.e. prominent (everted) vulva and deirids present in females, equidistant mamelons, accessory hook of gubernaculum with ornamentation relatively short tail in males, among other morphometric features. This species was described for Oryzomys sp. from Belem, Brasil (Hugot & Quentin 1985).
