Abstract
- The cause of granuloma annulare is unknown. The disease runs an unpredictable course, with lesions persisting for months or years. Partial or total involution does occur, and often the disorder clears without treatment; however, recurrences are not uncommon. The most common and effective therapy is topical steroid cream under plastic occlusion or use of steroid tape.
