2. Rhinatrema Dum��ril & Bibron, 1841. Type species: Caecilia bivittata Gu��rin-M��neville, 1838 (Fig. 7) by original monotypy. Diagnosis: The only rhinatrematids with short tails (fewer than 10 postcloacal annuli). Distribution: Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname. Content: Three species (bivittatum, shiv, ron).
