Compton scattering and the nucleon valence wavefunction

Abstract: Calculations are presented for real Compton scattering on the nucleon in a PQCD formalism by starting from different quark distribution amplitudes of the nucleon. In a second step we present the formalism to extract this distribution amplitude in a model independent way from hard exclusive Compton scattering data.
