Abstract
- In solutions at high pH, amino acid residues of glucagon undergo racemization without cleavage of the polypeptide backbone. This racemization process is accompanied by an unfolding of the molecule with the loss of both its antigenicity and its ability to stimulate adenyl cyclase from rat liver.
