Abstract
- The paper presents the controller design of a inertial stabilization platform for optical devices in which a one axis gimbal system is used. The proposed approach is based on a Fractional Order Proportional Integral Derivative (FOPID) controller, whose parameters are designed by using genetic algorithms optimization. The controller performance has been compared with those of a standard PID controller.
