Abstract

Department of Physics and Chemistry, B. S. College, Basmathnagar-431 512, Maharashtra, India E-mail : pggawali_l23@rediffmail.com Manuscript received 10 January 2011. accepted 21 December 2011 Values of dielectric constant (£') and loss factor (£") have been experimentally determined for binary liquid mixtures of n-decanol + ethanolamine at 6. 7 GHz microwave frequencies at 39 ºc. The values of £' and £" have been used to evaluate the molar polarization, apparent polarization and the excess activation energy, viscosity and viscous now have also been calculated. These parameters have been used to explain the formation of 2 : 1 complexes for the system (n-decanol + ethanolamine).
