Abstract

The genus Linaria belongs to the Scrophulariaceae family and comprises about 200 species [1]. It is represented by 39 in Algeria [2]; several species have been used in folk medicine as tonics, antiscorbutics, laxatives, antidiabetics, and diuretics [3, 4]. Previous work on this genus has shown the presence of iridoids, diterpenoids, flavonoids, alkaloids, and phenylethanoids [4–9].
