Abstract
- In 1851, the German pathologist Barbedelan reported the autopsy findings of a 6-month-old infant who died from severe asphyxia ([1][1]). Evaluation of the cardiac anatomy revealed hypoplasia of the left ventricular cavity without communication to the aorta, severe hypoplasia of the ascending aorta
