Abstract

Aleurotulus pteridophytae Martin (in Mound et al., 1994) DISTRIBUTION. Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Venezuela. HOST PLANTS. Lycopsida �� Selaginellaceae: Selaginella eurynota. Filicopsida �� Pteridaceae: Adiantum platyphyllum ��group; Schizaeaceae: Anemia phyllitidis; unidentified ferns intercepted at US quarantine stations. COMMENTS. This is the only whitefly species known to colonise Selaginella.
