Genus Benthana Budde-Lund, 1908 Type species: Benthana picta (Brandt, 1833) A diagnosis of the genus and a key to distinguish Benthana from the other Neotropical genera of Philosciidae are found in Araujo & Leistikow (1999) and in Leistikow & Araujo (2001), respectively.
