Approche sociologique des fonctions de directeurs et de cadres hospitaliers

Over recent decades, certain hospital functions have been transformed and others created. The rationalisation of work has been one of the main priorities leading to the creation of first-line and then senior management. Interactions bring about changes. In the partnership with doctors, the power of hospital managers has been strengthened. The considerable constraints of the new public management will have an impact on the management body. Hospital managers have thereby had to mobilise themselves to ensure their function is acknowledged.; A l'hôpital, au cours de ces dernières décennies, les métiers se sont transformés et d'autres ont été créés. La rationalisation du travail a été une des premières priorités entraînant l'élaboration d'un encadrement de proximité puis supérieur. Les interactions induisent des changements. Dans le partenariat avec les médecins, le pouvoir des directeurs d'hôpital s'est renforcé. Les contraintes fortes du nouveau management public auront un impact sur les corps de direction.
