Abstract

Colistin is considered as a highest priority critically importantantimicrobial in human medicine. To evaluate the potential contribution offood-producing animals to colistin resistance in humans, WP1 of theOHEJP-IMPART project aimed to standardize a methodology to screenacquired-colistin resistance in most frequent commensal and zoonoticEnterobacteriaceae as E. coli and Salmonella and evaluate thismethodology in a multicentre approach.
