Plasma Concepts

Chapter 1 covers basic plasma concepts and builds the foundation for plasma engineering. This chapter gives brief general classification of main plasma phenomena and describes different types of plasma particle collisions, waves and instabilities, plasma-wall transition, electron emission mechanisms and wall ablation in the presence of relatively hot plasmas.
