Abstract
- The spectral distributions of electrons ejected from plane slabs of compact human bone and Lucite have been measured by a magnetic electron spectrometer at various emerging angles less than 70 deg. for 150–300 kVp X rays. Calculations based on the measurements have provided data for the mean energy and the effective range of secondary electrons. The results have a bearing on the problem of the absorbed dose in soft tissue at a bone-tissue interface.
