Abstract: A novel europium(iii) complex simultaneously exhibiting photocolorimetric and photofluorometric behavior was obtained. Multiple distinguishable identities can be obtained and reversibly modulated using light as external stimuli. With this novel photo-responsive complex, double encryption and advanced anti-counterfeiting were realized.
