Abstract
- In summary, long-term exposure to a large, iatrogenic highflow fistula caused very severe systolic hypertension to develop, which was resistant to standard treatment. Closure of the fistula with percutaneous embolization resulted into a marked improvement of the hypertension, which became responsive to drug treatment.
