Abstract

Escherichia coli are gut commensal bacteria and opportunistic pathogens, and the emergence of antimicrobial resistance threatens the safety of the food chain. To know the E. coli strains circulating in the Brazilian poultry sector is important since the country corresponds to a significant chicken meat production.
