Abstract
- This paper deals with different types of modifiers and their effect on microstructure of Al-Si alloy. For purposes of this research Strontium, Antimony and Calcium were used as the modifiers of AlSi10CuNiMn alloy. Unmodified alloy was cast in order to be compared with alloy modified by different modifiers in different concentrations. Results of this research were analysed via light and electron microscopy.
