Abstract: An unprecedented cylcoisomerization of 1,3-dien-5-ynes for the construction of 7H-benzo[7]annulenes through a transamidation/5-exo-trig cyclization/8π-electrocyclization has been reported. Mechanistic investigations were conducted via DFT calculation and experimentally support.
