Sinusitis due to Stenotrophomonas maltophilia

Abstract: This is the first report of a patient diagnosed with sinusitis due to Stenotrophomonas maltophilia. Despite the organism being resistant to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, the infection was cured by drainage and treatment with intravenous piperacillin, followed by oral ciprofloxacin.
