DISTRIBUTION: Widespread species, recorded from Brazil (Bahia, Mato Grosso and Roraima States), Bolivia, Colombia, Guyana, and Venezuela. HABITAT RECORDS: Wide variety of habitats, including weeds on mud of drying pond, debris at edge of forest creek (Perkins 1980); ponds (Benetti et al. 2021); small pools on sand bar, lake, river, pond, stream, vegetated backwater margins, lagoon, marshy area in river floodplain (Perkins 2011).
