Abstract
- Iassus lateralis (Matsumura, 1905) (Figs. 1–7) Macropsis lateralis Matsumura, 1905: 51 Batracomorphus orientalis Kusnezov, 1929: 253 Batracomorphus laniarius Jacobi, 1943: 31 Pachyopsis lateralis Ishihara, 1953: 20 Iassus lateralis Ishihara, 1954: 14 Bythoscopus lateralis Esaki & Ito, 1954: 254 Iassus laniarius Nast, 1972: 228 Description. Head green. Vertex and pronotum variegated with reddish brown spots. Scutellum orange brown, bordered with yellow suture arcuate. Forewings translucent and pale green; veins green; clavus without dark spot. Legs green, without pattern or spot (Fig. 1). Male genitalia. Pygofer lobe process without ventral tooth, unbranched and curved apically; anal tube appendage small, slim and sharp (Fig. 2). Subgenital plate with pointed apex (Fig. 3). Aedeagus long and slim, apex aligned and narrowly bifurcate (Fig. 5). Aedeagus apex with small lateral lobes (Fig. 4). Measurements. Body length males 8.43–9.26 mm, females 7.93–9.19 mm.
