Abstract: Several D-ribonucleosides are prepared from 1-O-acetyl-2,3,5-tri-O-benzoyl-beta-D-ribofuranoside and trimethylsilylated nucleobases under mild conditions by using natural phosphate doped with KI as catalyst.
