Abstract
- 1. Oral mucositis (OM) is common among paediatric patients receiving chemotherapy.2. Paediatric patients who are neutropaenic, with high levels of anxiety, or with a history of OM have a greater risk and an earlier onset of OM.3. OM has negative effects on clinical outcomes and the patient’s life, including on oral function and quality of life.
