Abstract

Osmylopsis Handlirsch, 1906 Type species. Abia duplicata Giebel, 1856: 614 (by monotypy) (England) (Early Cretaceous). Comments. This genus is based on a poorly preserved fragment of the apical half of the hind wing. The family affinity of which was hitherto unclear due to an inadequate original description and fragmentary nature of the specimen. Jepson et al. (2012) redescribed O. duplicata and assigned to Osmylidae although the subfamily placement cannot be determined.
Published as part of Winterton, Shaun L., Martins, Caleb Califre, Makarkin, Vladimir, Ardila-Camacho, Adrian & Wang, Yongjie, 2019, Lance lacewings of the world (Neuroptera: Archeosmylidae, Osmylidae, Saucrosmylidae): review of living and fossil genera, pp. 1-99 in Zootaxa 4581 (1) on page 84, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4581.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/2633842
{"references":["Handlirsch, A.
