Abstract
- SYNOPSIS 8 children with insidious onset of manifestations of stricture of the Aqueduct of Sylvius in later childhood are reported. These children present with raised intracranial pressure, without lateralising signs, thus mimicking tumours, and the radiological features are those of raised intracranial pressure. Stricture of the Aqueduct is one of the commoner causes of this “midline syndrome”, and compared with the other causes, its treatment is simple and the prognosis good.
