Abstract
- 500 individuals belonging to the caste groups of Brahmin (106), Khattri (132), Arora (103) and Jat (159) have been investigated regarding the haptoglobin, transferrin, group specific component, albumin, ceruloplasmin as well as pseudocholinesterase locus E1 and E2 phenotypes and gene frequencies. No significant differences have been found among the various groups with respect to these six serum markers.
