Abstract
- Pseudomystus leiacanthus (Weber and de Beaufort, 1912) L eiocassis leiacanthus Weber and de Beaufort, 1912: 536, pl. 11 ®gure 1, 1a (type localities: Taluk and Ringat [= Rengat], Sumatra); Kottelat et al., 1993: 63, ®gure 151. L eiocassis poecilopterus (non Valenciennes, in Cuvier and Valenciennes, 1840): Klausewitz, 1955: 311. Material examined. BATANG HARI DRAINAGE: SMF 3349 (3), 34.0±52.0 mm. ZRC 38523 (25), 37.9±53.2 mm SL. ZRC 38601 (4), 35.2±42.2 mm SL. ZRC 41664 (1), 32.6 mm SL. ZRC 41819 (15), 23.3±57.3 mm SL. ZRC 41951 (6), 36.6 ±50.7 mm SL. INDRAGIRI DRAINAGE: ZMA 112.672 (1), syntype, 49.9 mm SL. ZRC 39069 (17), 31.0± 46.5 mm SL. Remarks. This species has been found only in peat swamps with very acidic (pH 3.5±4.5) and tannin-stained water.<br />Published as part of Ng, H. H. Tan H.
