Abstract
- A 70-year-old man with possible pulmonary tuberculosis had taken antituberculosis therapy for 2 months. Dyspnea and abdominal fullness developed and he was found to have acute hepatitis. The antituberculosis drugs were discontinued and his liver enzyme levels decreased rapidly within 5 days. The patient died on the fifth day of acute hepatic failure. Bone scintigraphy done on the third day to exclude pulmonary malignancy with bone metastases showed intense hepatic uptake, probably caused by hepatic necrosis.
