Herausforderungen und Chancen: Friedenspädagogik in Zeiten von Covid-19

Covid-19 und die individuellen, gesellschaftlichen und politischen Maßnahmen zum Umgang mit der Pandemie stellen die Friedenspädagogik vor neue strukturelle („Bildungskrise“), thematische („Friedensbedrohungen“) und methodische („Digitalisierung“) Herausforderungen. Vor dem Hintergrund ihrer langjährigen Erfahrungen muss es der Friedenspädagogik gelingen, die Attraktivität des Friedens für (junge) Menschen neu sichtbar zu machen und damit einen Beitrag zur notwendigen (Konflikt-)Transformation zu leisten. Covid-19 and the individual, social and political measures taken to deal with the pandemic confront the peace education with new structural (“educational crisis”), thematic (“threats to peace”) and methodological (“digitalization”) challenges. Against the background of its many years of experience, peace education must manage to visualize the attractiveness of peace to (young) people in a new way and thus contribute to the necessary (conflict) transformation.
