Ultrastructural localization of cytochrome oxidase in isolated rat thymus nuclei by the diaminobenzidine method

Summary Using the DAB method, cytochrome oxidase activity could be detected in isolated rat thymus nuclei, confined both to membranes of the nuclear envelope and intranuclearly in the euchromatic regions, mostly in the form of granules and sometimes of bodies. Detergent-treated nuclei show the intranuclear deposits almost exclusively.
