Abstract
- International audience; We consider soliton propagation in two parallel optical waveguides, in the presence of a linear nondispersive coupling and in the few-cycle regime. The numerical analysis is based on a set of two coupled modified Korteweg–de Vries equations. The evidenced few-cycle vector solitons are optical breathers. In addition to the usual breathing due to carrier-envelope velocity mismatch, we observe, and describe in detail, spatial oscillations of soliton’s amplitude and energy.
