Abstract
- A 78-year-old woman with an aortic pseudoaneurysm suffered cardiac arrest due to aspiration and underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but was found to then be hypotensive with a new chest hematoma. Imaging revealed aortic rupture at the site of the pseudoaneurysm. Aortic rupture is a rare but catastrophic complication of CPR.
