Abstract

International audience; The projectile fragmentation of 92Mo at Elab = 500 A MeV has been studied at the European large-scale facility SIS/FRS at GSI, Darmstadt, Germany. The produced isotopes have been identified in Z and A numbers by using the Brho–ΔE–TOF method. The results of the isotopic production cross sections will be presented. The data will be used to test the predictive power of the empirical parametrizations (EPAX) and fragmentation models (ABRABLA) to determine production cross sections. The measured data provide a precise knowledge of the expected production rates of secondary beams of N simeq Z nuclei via projectile fragmentation.
