Abstract
- In conventional magnetic measurements, magnetization characteristics are measured under excitation in a single direction, and consequently the results represent the magnetization characteristics in the measured direction. However, these characteristics cannot be applied to analyses which assume a rotating magnetic field. In order to analyze such fields, we measured the magnetization characteristics as vector values using a two-dimensional magnetic measurement apparatus. This paper presents a magnetic reluctivity tensor expression for the two-dimensional magnetization characteristics in finite element analysis. We show that the expression is an effective tool for the analysis of rotating magnetic fields.
