Abstract
- 1. Excreta from ten additional species of cockroaches have been analyzed for the presence of uric acid. 2. Uric acid is voided only by Parcoblatta pennsylvanica which belongs to the subfamily Blattellinae. 3. The urate voiding mechanism appears to be the same as for three other species of this subfamily previously studied. 4. Internal urate deposits were demonstrated in eight species. 5. The house cricket voids a uniform, uric acid-containing excreta, but retains only small amounts of uric acid internally.
