Abstract: International audience; We report a case of Acanthamoeba castellani keratitis in a person who wore contact lenses. The amebae hosted an ameba-resistant bacterial symbiont, provisionally named ``Attilina massiliensis,'' a yet undescribed alpha-Proteobacterium.
