Abstract
- The complications of percutaneous intraarterial infusion chemotherapy of the head-and-neck-cancer patient has dampened enthusiasm for this approach. A totally implantable infusion pump system circumvents many of these complications and will in the long term enhance the opportunity to expand upon the advantanges of infusion chemotherapy for the benefit of all cancer patients.
