Abstract
- A 37-year-old female, with a history of drug abuse (including cocaine), was admitted with fever and malaise. Transoesophageal echocardiography demonstrated infective endocarditis of the native mitral valve, and the patient underwent antibiotic treatment for 6 weeks.
