Laboratory safety inservice needs of Texas agricultural science teachers

According to a study by Lawyer (1992), on the safety compliance levels of agricultural science teachers in Texas, the instructors are using safe practices and providing safety equipment, but "not to the extent warranted by the hazards present in the agricultural mechanics laboratory" (p. 157). This study called for inservice programs to implement comprehensive safety programs. Therefore, the problem this study attempted to answer was: What are the safety inservice education needs of Texas agricultural science teachers in Areas I, II, and IV?
