Abstract

[Abstract] The narrowing of the emission spectrum from organic-light-emitting-diode (OLED) with optical resonator was observed experimentally. The resonator consists of Mg-Ag and Ag thin layers. The spectral width of 95 nm was narrowed down to 12 nm. It was broadened by thinning down the Ag layer. The wavelength at the maximum emission intensity depended on the size of the resonator. The OLED with the narrowed emission is available for extension of the expressible color area on chromaticity diagram.
