Abstract
- Case Report<br />Patients suffering from malignant hematological disorders may be at an increased risk when undergoing cardiac surgery. A case of a 67-year-old man with multiple myeloma and cardiac amyloidosis, who underwent aortic valve replacement for severe aortic stenosis, is reported. The patient's postoperative course was uneventful, and he was discharged 16 days after surgery. Currently, two years after surgery, he continues to visit the hospital for dialysis and maintenance therapy without recurrence or exacerbation of multiple myeloma.
