Education and Poverty: The Hypothesis of the Individual and Social Capital

En este artículo se revisan los diversos modos en los que ha sido abordada la temática de la pobreza y, tras realizar una diferenciación entre ésta y la exclusión, plantea las principales características que poseen los actuales programas de lucha contra la pobreza poniendo en cuestión su eficacia y los supuestos en los que se apoyan. La conclusión a la que se arriba plantea la inefectividad de este tipo de estrategias y propone una alternativa. The article reviews the theme of the poverty and the ways that it has been analyzed. After this, it makes a differentiation between the poverty and the exclusion and develops the main characteristics that the present programs of fight against the poverty have. In this sense the article puts in doubt their effectiveness and the main thesis that we can find in the base of this programs. The conclusion tries to demonstrate the inefectivity of this kind of strategies and proposes an alternative way.
