Abstract: U radu su prikazane promjene u dinamici i strukturi stanovništva otoka Brača poslije II svjetskog rata; uz prikaz kretanja broja stanovništva u razdoblju 1857-1981, obrađeno je prirodno kretanje stanovništva i dobi, te socijalno geografska transformacija nakon posljednjeg popisa stanovništva.<br />The paper demonstrates the changes in the dynamics and structure of the inhabitants of the island of Brač after the II World War, and with a review of the demographic migrational trend during the period 1857-1981, the natural demographic trend from 1963-1987 is analysed, types of general migratory trends, the structure of inhabitants according to sex and age, and social geographic transformation after the latest population census.
